What Desk does
Semantic search
Traditional search relies on exact keyword matching. Savanto understands meaning. When a visitor searches for "warm jacket for hiking," they'll find your insulated outdoor gear, even if your product titles don't contain those exact words.
AI chat assistant
A conversational assistant that knows your content. Visitors can ask questions like "What's the difference between these two products?" or "Do you have this in blue?" and get helpful, accurate answers.
Answers from your systems, not just your pages
Some questions have no document behind them. "Has my order shipped" is answered by your order system; "am I still under warranty" is a record, not an article.
Custom domains let you define capabilities of your own: describe what one should do in plain English, point it at a system you already run: your own API or an MCP server you expose — and the assistant can call it, scoped to who is asking. See Domains & tools.
