About

One accountable party.

Savanto is a practice of senior engineers, founder-led and senior-only by design. The people who assess your problem are the people who build the system and answer for it in production. Nothing is handed down to a delivery team you never met.

The record
Twenty-five years
Engineering leadership for clients and employers including Procter & Gamble, ExxonMobil, Global Payments, Eataly, and Argonne National Laboratory. CTO at Dovetail 2023–2025. Independent practice since 2006, partner at a boutique consultancy before that. MBA, UT Austin McCombs.
Systems in production
An oncology data platform taken from inception to scale. Personnel-safety systems for staff in high-risk regions. Payment SDKs thousands of developers rely on. The Savanto platform itself: search, chat, crawling, and retrieval, live across many tenants.
Clients over the years
BCG, Disney, Reebok, Procter & Gamble, Marriott, ExxonMobil, COTA Healthcare, CoinList, Eataly, Argonne National Laboratory, University of Miami, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Now
All of it applied to one problem: making what your business knows answerable, from your content and your systems of record, in your environment.

Why small is the point

Large firms sell teams. That’s the right shape for a two-year transformation program and the wrong shape for getting a working system live in weeks. The overhead you’d pay for (account managers, delivery leads, junior rotations) is the overhead that makes those projects slow.

Savanto stays small and senior, with a platform underneath that does the work of a much larger team. Engagements draw on a bench of senior specialists we have shipped with before, sized to the work at hand. That’s the mechanism that makes fixed scope and weeks-not-quarters possible, not a limitation to apologize for. You should ask any small firm the continuity question, so here is the answer up front: everything we build is documented, deployable by your team, and yours. The system outlasts the engagement.

The stance

Most enterprise AI pilots fail, and the industry’s answer has been to promise harder. Ours is to promise less and show more: a working demonstration on your own content before you commit, plain answers about what has been run before and what would be new, and “not yet” where “not yet” is the truth.

If the assessment says this isn’t worth doing for your business, that’s what the assessment will say.
